Features of the evening included:

  • Wine Ring Toss! (That’s right cowboys and cowgirls — you’ll have the chance to “lasso” wines to take home!)
  • Western 101 demonstrations, including:
    • Cowboy Hats: Pinto Ranch hat experts will be on-hand to demonstrate the art of steaming and shaping the brim of a cowboy hat for a perfect fit.
    • Handmade Boots: Discover the craftsmanship that goes into every handmade boot, what makes them different, and why this age-old process is a highly-regarded American art form. Plus, learn more about the skins and leathers that are used to make high-quality boots.
    • Saddle Shop: The saddle shop at Pinto Ranch Houston is truly one of the few places you can witness the craft of saddle making daily. Master craftsman, Julio Peña, began making saddles at the age of 13 in Monterey, Mexico.  In 1979, Julio brought his craft to Texas and has been making saddles for Pinto Ranch since the opening in 2004. Julio will give a demonstration in saddle making, hand-tooling and other leather work

Pinto Ranch donated a percentage of the night’s shopping proceeds to Women of Wine Charities. All told, we raised nearly $12,000 — an outstanding first step in our 2015 fundraising efforts for the Houston Area Women’s Center. Cheers everybody!
